The Bihar State Biodiversity Board (BSBB) was constituted by the Government of Bihar under Section 22 of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002. The Board functions under the administrative control of the Department of Environment, Forest & Climate Change.

A Bihar where biodiversity is conserved, sustainably used, and benefits flow equitably to its custodian communities.
Mission
Document, regulate and promote conservation of flora, fauna and traditional knowledge through a participatory, science-based approach.
